Cornish artist Rosemary Horne is a graduate of Exeter University. She studied ceramics, photography and painting at Rolle College, Exmouth. She specialized in art and music during her teaching career in Scotland.
Rosemary has taught photography in America and a selection of her photographs has been purchased for permanent exhibition by Fife Regional Council.
Rosemary has exhibited in many galleries and has had solo exhibitions in Hampshire and Cornwall.
Her paintings reflect a love of nature, combining bold shapes and colours with impressionistic brush techniques. Crewing on Tall Ships in various parts of the world has influenced her seascapes.
A lot of her work is in oil but she also uses acrylics and inks. An accomplished writer, potter and photographer, Rosemary returned to her native Cornwall in 2001 to develop her artwork.
